Yeah the Toyota says it's a firm fit. But if you're getting gaps then something is wrong. If you can buy a set of plastic matings, do that. They cost maybe $5. It's what I've been doing since day one.

I have the cover and I don't have any gaps. If the Toyota is saying it's a firm fit, then it must be, as they are the only ones that know what it feels like to touch the bottom of the bed.
The bottom of the bed is not flush, the "toyota" is flush. The bumper is deeper at the bottom, so the cover doesn't fit flush against the bumper, it's raised.

Are you saying the bumper is raised, the bumper is flush with the fender? The bumper is flush with the fender at the top, but the lip that goes around the bottom of the fender is raised, as well as the bottom of the tail gate. The 2 halves of the fender are fully flush at the top, but are not "raised" (the one that goes along the side of the fender is slightly raised).
